Tonight, June 22, 2019, was my first time at Coopers. I attended a baby shower here. When I say the food was delicious, I mean that. It's a soul food buffet restaurant. You can order off of a menu as well. Now, I will say two things I ate were a tad salty-the shepherd's pie, and collards. Everything else was spot on. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried golden. The kitchen staff kept the buffet stocked with fresh food. The only reason I didn't give the restaurant a perfect 5 stars is because of the wait staff. There were two waitress for our party but it seemed like one slipped away, and the other tended to one table. I had to send one of the kids to the bar with my cup just to get a refill on a coke. Not once did anyone come to ask about refills for my table. And it took forever for our table to be cleared and it was only 3 people at the table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would eat here again. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I don't usually talk about restaurant restrooms but this restaurant had the cleanest restrooms I have ever seen.
Met with the owner tonight... the Manager, head chef and a few other staff members ... all were super friendly. The vibe was beautiful! The buffet was plentiful and the crowd of about 25 patiently awaited the start of Wednesday night fun... comedy! I ordered a margarita and the bartender Linda made it very well! My girl ordered the shrimp dinner with two sides... she enjoyed her food! The service was fast and listening to the head chef explain the features of the new menu... I cannot hardly wait! I'm looking forward to returning real soon! Great atmosphere, friendly service and tasty drinks!
Great place. Never even knew this place existed til a co worker bought me here for lunch . Great local place for a different taste to a Buffet and very affordable at 8.99 for lunch buffet. The place is very big and atmosphere is great . All the staff was very friendly and you could tell they care about there establishment and food served. The food was great . They have a full bar with dance floor.
The food was very fresh and tasty.The jazz they offered was very nice and soothing .The menu for this Sunday was bonesless pork chops ,cabbage, string beans, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, fish, fried chicken rice cake for dessert. They didn't have bread on the buffet, nor did they offer us any. Our drinks where perfect and the waitress was great, pleasant conversation and created with a smile. Overall the service was great. Highly recommend Coopers for lunch or dinner
